Wise Words ~ What Lies Within

Sometimes, we struggle to find the answers in ourselves so we turn to other sources of wisdom, like the words of another writer, philosopher or artist of a different medium. If we’re having a tough time, we might turn to an inspiring, positive force for words to keep chugging along. If we are trying to understand something that seems incomprehensible, they might offer a bit of clarity. I hope these words make you stop and think a moment and carve out more meaning in your day, too. As always, thanks for reading. ~ Chris K.  ...

Movie Mondays ~ Monday, July 29, 2019

Well, I had every intention of listing at least a second movie here but my attempts to get through a 40s classic that I had not seen in a long time failed as I kept crashing over and over. And a second attempt at finishing a cute animated film from recent years continues to fail miserably even though I’m encouraged by the charming film so far. Don’t be surprised if you see these two films pop up in future weeks but for now, alas, just one film do I bring to you. The good news is… it isn’t bad.  As always, thanks for...

Thursday Thoughts: How Real Are You Willing to Be Out Here?

Life moves on, sometimes without us. I’ve gotten a lot of lessons in that lately.  Sometimes you have to pass on things and though you may regret it, your current circumstances just don’t allow you to take part. It can get easy to be caught up in our own lives, our own dramas (some we asked for, some we didn’t) as well as those random things that just happen to us, and we forget that the rest of the world still moves in a forward direction. And it does. It really does. We only realize this after we’ve lagged behind for...

Movie Mondays ~ Monday, July 22, 2019

Despite feeling like total crud this week due to a head cold, I’ve managed to sneak in a trio of films to review here on #MovieMondays. One of them happens to be a classic and a personal favorite of mine but I’ve never reviewed it here on my blog, so since I was in the mood for it when I saw it listed on TCM movies on demand, I thought what the hell — let’s give that a watch this week! The other two are new films released just this year and one of them happens to be out at theaters right now. As always, thanks for...
