NEWS ~ Author Chris Kuhn Appearing at Shopapalooza Nov. 23

I’m very excited to announce that this Saturday I get to take part in an event that I’ve enjoyed going to for the past several years but never thought I’d be appearing at as a vendor. On Saturday, November 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., I will be appearing along with 120+ other vendors at SHOPAPALOOZA, a wonderful “buy-local” event put on by a great organization, LocalShops1.com. It’ll be held in downtown St. Petersburg at S. Straub Park. I’ve been a long-time member of LocalShops1.com as a freelance writer and editor, as well as a great fan of its founder, the awesome and incomparable Ester Venouziou (not to mention my fellow Greek-American sistah! Lol). This event is their annual signature celebration of the very successful Buy Local movement that has been growing steadily in the Tampa Bay area, particularly in the St. Petersburg market and it is a great alternative to the “Black Friday” frenzy that takes place after Thanksgiving. But most importantly, it is a valuable opportunity for residents to support their local businesses with their patronage and heck, get a little holiday shopping done earlier than usual, too!

I and the hubs will be manning a table not far from the LocalShops1 Welcome Station at the event – I’m at booth A9 – and you can check out how things are set up at this great link to the Shopapalooza vendor map. At this year’s event, I’ll be selling signed copies of my book THE MUSE UNLOCKED as well as there to chat with those who’ve already read it and field any questions, as well as introduce Cate, Oliver and crew to prospective readers. So I hope that if you are in the area and looking for a lovely way to spend a Saturday, that you’ll stop by this FREE event and come by and see me!

Hope to see you there! ~ ck
