There are no good excuses. I haven’t been blogging this year as much as I should be doing. (Bad scribe, smacks hand.) But I promise this month will be different. And I am starting out the month with something that I hope might be of interest to some of you serious music fans out there.
Since I started my author website, back in summer 2013, I began taking part in a daily Song-of-the-Day feature and followers have shared how they enjoy this little friendly greeting to pump them up for their day or in some cases, introduce them to new tunes. Up until December 31 of last year, I never repeated a song in all of that time. This year, I gave myself permission to clear the slate and start over so I had access to the full songbook of contemporary music. I also decided to do something else for my friends, too.
Sometimes we just need to hear some music, so I have decided starting this year that at the end of each month of Song-of-the-Day selections, I’m going to post the past month of tunes I chose to represent the day. And to start things off… I present to you January 2016 Song-of-the-Day in a nutshell. Have a listen and enjoy! ~ Chris
