Your Weekly Kuhnspiration (November 19, 2012)

Thanksgiving week. I wonder how many people reading this right now are planning to goof off for much of the week. I have a pile of projects on my desk waiting to be addressed and just three days to do them. Oy. But I blame myself. I’ve recently gotten very embroiled in my book that I’m writing and as a result of it, it’s put me a tad behind on my other projects. This is the week to set everything else in motion. Even if I do only have 72 hours.

I’ve been watching people share their “thankful” thoughts every day on Facebook this month. Clearly, it is a suggestion someone put out to the social media universe and it attracted enough followers to try it for themselves. And Oprah for years has suggested keeping a gratitude journal, which I did try to do for a short time but like a lot of good habits, it disappeared from my routines.

This week, I do want to touch upon the subject of gratitude but in a very specific way. I ask you:

Think about the people who have come into your life (we’re not talking parents or siblings or children) but those other people who simply crossed your path and who you have CHOSEN to connect with, at some point in your life – past or present. Who do you hold special gratitude for and why?

I can’t wait to hear all about these special people who have bobbled their way into your orbit, and I’ll be responding later in the week. Perhaps before the sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie, for I may not have room after that, you know?

So here’s to a productive SHORT workweek and a spectactular holiday with family and friends, however you choose to celebrate. While I won’t be indulging in the turkey since I prefer the veggies, I do wish you all a safe, happy Thanksgiving. And as always, thanks for reading.

Cheers to finding that daily spark in your life!

~ Chris
