Alright, Washington Nationals. Now you know your opponent. Your moment arrives Tuesday. It’s your turn to shine and take on truly one of the best teams in baseball, the Houston Astros. Vegas is going to put heavy odds on the ‘Stros to be the favorite. It’s time for you to show them what you’ve got and defy the odds.
Here are some photos from our one and only Nats baseball visit so far, one of my favorite MLB park experiences ever. Those of you who know us are aware that we are trying to see all of the baseball parks and though I’ve been to DC a total of four times now (three with my hubby), this was our chance to catch the still fairly new addition to the MLB when the Montreal Expos franchise moved to the U.S. and hoisted a flag in our nation’s capital, the third time the city has had a franchise. I have a hunch this time they’ll keep it.
On this particular hot day in June 2010, we had the pleasure and exciting opportunity to witness a new pitcher during his rookie season…now superstar MLB starting pitcher, Stephen Strasburg. What a wonderful day and a beautiful park. It’s a memory I’ll always treasure.
