THE MUSE SERIES PLAYLISTS

The Muse Unlocked

Music is very important to me. As a writer, I work by it. As a human being, I experience and measure life by it. The following is a list of songs that were playing throughout the process of writing this first book in The Muse Series. If you have any songs or even entire playlists that you’d like to share with me, I would welcome them. I’ll be sharing some of them with readers over the next month or two. Maybe I’ll share yours. *arches eyebrow*

So just reach out to me at Twitter, Facebook or by email and let me know what songs would be on your soundtrack for the book. And tell me what you think about my own song list and the artists that inspired me – my MUSES (sorta).

Look forward to hearing from you!

***SPOILER ALERT***

Please note that the following playlist may reference specific scenes in the book, so if you haven’t yet read, you may wish to block out that “Scene” column with your hand on the monitor or come back later after finishing the book. That second option would probably be easier…and certainly more comfortable! 😉

HAIKU CORNER

Ever tackled the beautiful poetry of haiku? There are actually various nuances and guidelines about the delicate art of haiku, but for our purposes, the main requirements are that the first line must contain five syllables, the second line seven syllables and the third and final line, five syllables. This 5-7-5 rule can be continued throughout to build a series of poignant haiku poems.

Here’s just a sample of my own crack at it below to briefly tell The Muse Unlocked story, in haiku format only.

Why don’t you try and if you like what you see, send them to me? I’ll be posting some of my favorite haikus in the near future, and you never know – we may even reward some of the best entries with signed book copies or other perks. So just email me at chris@chriskuhnauthor.com and turn Cate, Oliver and The Muse Series gang into poetry in motion!
