Last Monday, I wrote about Memorial Day from the perspective of someone not personally impacted but today I write to hopefully offer a few suggestions to check out for anyone else like me out there who was hoping to do something for their local veterans or their families but wasn’t really sure where to start.
I’m a few days late blogging, but this is in response to my last Kuhnspiration challenge posed…
What are some ways that you might be able to support local veterans and their families right here at home this year?
I didn’t want to let the opportunity go by without sharing with you some links to organizations you may wish to check out online and maybe even reach out to should you also be looking for small ways you can contribute to support Tampa Bay area military families and returning veterans. These are groups who are either providing direct volunteer opportunities to help, seek donations from the public or are focused on keeping the public informed about ways they can support these veterans and their families.
If you know of any others, I really hope that you’ll share them with me here so we can spread the word to other readers. Did you come up with some ideas of your own that you can add to the list? Please feel free to comment here at the blog with your own suggestions for making a difference in these families’ and veterans’ lives.
Cheers to finding that daily spark!
Chris
