From time to time, I get the opportunity to write for Tampa Bay area print and online publications. Recently, I had an opportunity to reconnect with two online sources of community news and features about the people and places that make Tampa Bay home. I hope to continue sharing links with you to future stories throughout the year. This past week, I had articles featured in 83 DEGREES TAMPA and DESTINATION TAMPA BAY, so please stop by to check out these and other stories at the sites and read about what’s happening in the area.
For 83 DEGREES, I spoke with those who work out in the field delivering healthcare to neighbors in need across Tampa Bay as part of BayCare’s mobile medical health program. Click here to read “Health equity solutions: Mobile clinics take care to underserved neighborhoods.”
DESTINATION TAMPA BAY spotlights the many happenings that remind us this isn’t just where we live and work, but where we play, too, as well as make a difference. You’ll see some story links here from me over the next few months especially as Tampa Bay is a very busy place every spring. This week, I caught up with the organizers and local artists taking part in this year’s 43rd Annual Mainsail Art Festival which runs April 21-22, 2018 at St. Petersburg’s Vinoy Park. (That’s the gorgeous “Big Blue Horse” below by the talented Donald Gialanella of St. Pete that will be onsite at this spring’s art show.) As always, thanks for reading! ~ Chris K.
